Creative Data Engineers LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website measr.app and the Measr analytics toolkit (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information.

Creative Data Engineers LLC is a U.S.-registered company operating globally. We comply with applicable U.S. privacy regulations and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

2.1. Purchase Information

When you purchase a Measr subscription, we collect:

• Email address
• Payment information (processed via Stripe; we do not store card details)
• Transaction history

2.2. Account and Access Information

After purchase, we collect:

• GitHub username (to grant repository access)
• Email correspondence with support@measr.app

2.3. Waitlist Information

If you join the Measr waitlist, we collect:

• First name
• Email address

2.4. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit measr.app, standard web server logs are collected by our hosting provider (Netlify):

• IP address
• Browser type
• Access timestamps
• Referrer URL

We do NOT use Google Analytics or third-party tracking pixels on measr.app. We do NOT set tracking cookies. We do use our own first-party analytics SDK (Measr) to record aggregate, cookieless pageview and engagement data on measr.app itself.

2.5. What We Do NOT Collect

Measr is a self-hosted analytics toolkit. When you deploy Measr to your own Supabase instance, all tracking data stays in your database. We have no access to your analytics data, your users' data, or the events your Measr installation collects. Your data never touches our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To process your payment and grant access to the Measr repository
• To manage your GitHub repository access
• To send transactional emails (purchase confirmation, access instructions)
• To respond to support inquiries
• To send product update notifications (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• To comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting)

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA):

• Performance of a contract: processing payment and granting repository access
• Consent: when you join the waitlist or opt in to product updates
• Legitimate interests: to operate and improve our website
• Legal obligations: tax and accounting compliance

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with:

• Payment records: retained as required by tax and accounting regulations (typically 7 to 10 years)
• GitHub access: maintained for the duration of your subscription; revoked upon cancellation
• Support correspondence: retained for up to 24 months after last interaction
• Waitlist data: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• Server logs (Netlify): subject to Netlify's retention policy

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate measures including TLS encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. Your Measr deployment data stays in your own Supabase instance and is secured by your own configuration.

9. Children's Privacy

Measr is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

Updates will be posted at measr.app/legal/privacy-policy.html with an updated effective date.
